AGC TV and Gretchen Goldsmith Launch New Music Reality Format, ‘The Fandom’

A new kind of reality TV format is hitting Mipcom. AGC Television, the TV production and distribution unit of Stuart Ford’s indie content studio, AGC Studios, has joined forces with Emmy-winning executive producer Gretchen Goldsmith to produce a new hybrid format called “The Fandom.” This is the first music/reality show from AGC TV, which has been fast expanding its slate in both scripted and unscripted content.

‘Taken’ Director Pierre Morel Boards AGC & Jon Shestack Action Movie ‘The Blacksmith’ About A Weapons Expert With A Unique Set Of Skills

Taken filmmaker Pierre Morel has been set to direct action-thriller The Blacksmith, screenwriter Ben Ripley’s (Source Code) adaptation of the graphic novel by Malik Evans and Richard Sparkman.Jon Shestack (Air Force One) will produce with Jason Netter (Wanted), and Jeremy Stein, with AGC Studios’ Stuart Ford executive producing. Samantha Shear and Bob Sobhani will also executive produce. AGC will finance and co-pre U.S. rights with UTA.

AGC Studios starts production on 'Breaking News In Yuba County', releases first image

Production is underway in Mississippi on AGC Studios’ ensemble comedy Breaking News In Yuba County starring Allison Janney, Mila Kunis, Regina Hall, and Awkwafina. AGC is fully financing and has released the first image from the set (pictured). Tate Taylor directs from a Black List script by Amanda Idoko, and produces with kake Gyllenhaal and Riva Marker through Nine Stories, Franklin Leonard’s The Black List, and John Norris.
